Binder Issues

I'm having some binder issues. I use underworks tri top. They have been working well, but since starting T I've had some shrinkage happen. Problem is, I have remeasured to attempt to get a smaller size, but apparently I'm still the "same size" for underworks. Would it be safe to measure using my loosest binder and purchase that size measurement?

The shrinkage that has occurred is, basically I have asymmetrical chest, meaning one side is larger than the other. Not fun, but almost at my goal for top surgery. Anyways, I've had one side shrink from large B to small B. The other side was a large C and now a middle C. Binding covers this up pretty well, but since being on T has caused them to shrink, the binder isn't working as it once was. I know I need a smaller size, but my measurements have stayed the same. It says that I should wear a large, but I really think that I can go down to a medium.

What's your opinion?

How have you washed the binder? It could of just stretched out.

im having the same problem! i thought that i needed to go up a size, but my binder doesn't work as well now.. i think we may just be in the awkward stage of transitioning.

have you considered trying out different styles? i ordered different ones to see if they work better.

I find that the next size smaller from Underworks actually fits me much better than the one recommended based on my measurements. I am always careful to monitor how it feels to breathe, whether I get soreness in my back/ribcage, etc. but I haven't had any problems from going down a size.

YMMV but if your current-size binder feels too loose you could try going down one.

Or, you could try washing and drying your binder to see if it shrinks - it will wear out faster if you do but it might be a better fit.

I have tried other styles and considering my location, South Florida, it's too hot to wear anything other than the tri-top in white. I literally have like 5 binders from them. lol

I hand wash my binders and stick them in the dryer 20 min. It does help. :D

So, here's my theory.

My first binder was bought from f2mbinders (dot) com. They are underworks, but the measurements will have a female instead of a male.
My second binder was from underworks men's section. underworks (dot) com

Even though I bought the same binder, they were slightly different. The men's lasted me much longer than the f2m style binder.

Both measure for a large for me, so yeah, the f2m binder is longer and the armpits are wider (this causes boobs to spill out) my main issue since I'm asymmetrical. One side sticks out from the front of my armpit, not pleasant at all.

With the mens underworks style the armpits are shorter and so is the length of the binder (about an inch and a half). Also the straps are wider.

I only order tri-tops.

So, if you did the same thing I did, yeah, they'll be different even though it's the same style binder. Weird, but this is what happened with me.

I ordered 1 new binder from underworks tritop. This is supposed to be the bio-guys binder.

Make sense?! :o
