Hello everyone!

Although I've already jumped in with my queries on another thread, I thought I should still introduce myself here.

I am a young married cross-dressing male with a loving and understanding wife, but I've been questioning my identity, trying to find as much info as possible online, and I found this place simply because it came up at the top of many of my google searches more often than not.

I am incredibly scared of anyone even accidentally finding out that I am posting here, so I have avoided mentioning my age, country, profession or anything which can even remotely be associated with me, but still being truthful with whatever little I am sharing.

I guess that's all for now. See you'll around...

Well I have to say hello to Cindy!

Hugs darling. I read your posts and I hope you have a safe journey in this strange journey we are on. I would suggest talking to a therapist, the good ones do help.

Fear is normal, so many of us have a feeling of shame for being transgender, no matter to what degree. To be honest I'm proud. I have found transgender people to be the most open, accepting, supportive and loving men and women.

But please be safe.

My love to yourself and your wife.

Thanks V M and Cindy for the warm welcome.

In addition to what I shared above and on the other thread, I have been searching for some tests online and took two of them. Not sure if I can share their links here but will share the results.
One was this SAGE test which is apparently based on COGIATI which has apparently been debunked, but I took it anyway and ended up with the following:

"Your Raw Score is: 640, which indicates that overall you are Feminine

Your appearance is Masculine

Your brain processes are mostly that of a Female person.

You appear to socialize in a feminine manner.

You believe you have major conflicts about your gender identity.

You indicated your were born Male.

ANALYSIS:
Male to Female Transsexual, who is a serious candidate for Gender Reassignment Surgery
NOTES:
•Your Answers indicate your psychological state has likely prevailed since you were quite young."

The other one was quite short and seemed even more unreliable, but it also ended up with the following:

"Results

The answers given indicate a High Risk of Gender Identity Disorder.

Talking to a licensed professional is the only way to be sure, and is the best way to help you resolve any issues you are going through.
Your Personalized Suggestions
Transvestism (Cross Dressing) (High Priority)

Interests of the Opposite Gender (High Priority)

Transsexuality (High Priority)

Social Issues (Lower Priority)

Parental/Childhood Issues (Lower Priority)"

I know, I know, these are all unreliable and I should just go see a therapist and sort this out, but while I find a reliable one and gather the courage to visit, I thought why not give these a try. I tried being as honest as possible and I hoped they would churn out some milder results or point in some other direction, but apparently not.  :-\

It's a bit odd, most of these tests are silly but we take them, some sort of self validation, maybe.

I do remember when I went to a therapist (very experienced) and some months later we were talking and I asked him, 'When did you know I was transgender?'  His reply "As soon as you sat down a talked to me."

I reflected on that and I realised that I agree.

Thanks izzy and gennee for the warm welcome.

@ Cindy: I agree with the silliness of these tests. I guess I'll only know once I figure out how to get real help.

And yes, a very happy new year to all of you!

Hi cindy16 ,

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.

It's quite normal to feel the way you are, presently. It's an evolution you're going through. Something that can't be denied. Whichever way you do it, it's the right way for you, so no need for concern. Just keep asking questions and you'll keep getting answers. The essence of a Life's journey.

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine
