What are the worst subprocedures of FFS for recovery time?

Danielle, thanks so much for re-posting that here.  I found it extremely helpful.  I particularly like the idea of splitting surgeries so as to determine what (if anything) needs to be done next: I'd gladly get my forehead/brows/nose done tomorrow morning, but the jaw and chin I might be able to live with once the top part of my face is fixed.  My jaw isn't crazy masculine, but it's hardly feminine either.

I had a trachea shave and mandible contouring done at the same time.

The most painful part of the recovery was the throat irritation from the breathing tube.  Other than that I was pretty messed up for a little while but I'd really just describe it as inescapable discomfort, not actual pain.

My surgery was a year ago tomorrow.  My chin is still a bit numb and perhaps it always will be but I never notice it and it doesn't bother me.
