Hi gang,
I'm approaching a decision on FFS surgeons, and through the help of my friends and community (and not my family, ergh..) it looks like I can actually accomplish it. Huge hurray.
I'm dying to do it, but I'm starting to wonder if I should push it back, due to my hair regrowth.
I'm nearing 1yr8mo on HRT. I have a lot of hair, but a pretty sharp M-shaped hairline. In the past 3-4 months and especially recently, the little baby hairs along my formerly receding hairline have started looking more brown and substantial, with lots of new angel hairs popping up in the next strip forward.
Is there any point in waiting to see how much more hair I get? I'm dying to move forward with social transition, I'm full time but I pass very rarely. However:
1) I'd hate to have the surgeon cut off a strip of skin that's about to bloom into a lot of hair.
2) If the incision is less up-and-down to account for the M shape, would that increase my chances of recovering feeling in the top of my head? Like, would a rounder and straighter incision work in favor of the nerves healing?
3) It could possibly reduce my need for hair transplants in the future.
When I started HRT I wasn't relying on any hair regrowth, and now I'm like...wondering how much hair will come back cause it seems to be making moves.
Any insights? Thanks and happy new year!
