I went shopping today with my wife, while we were checking out I was wondering if I would be called sir or maam. To my surprise the clerk called me Miss, which made this 56 year old gal feel pretty good.

That's so awesome.

I remember my first "miss".  At first it flew right over my head, then I thought, "Oh crap, he's talking to me!  I'm middle-aged, and I just got 'miss'-ed.  Jill for the win!"

A few weeks ago I went to Richmond hill which is the indo Caribbean enclave in queens. One of the gypsy cab drivers looked at me and said, "taxi, miss?" Made my day.
