@4A-GZE

What???  10 POUNDS???   That would make me happy too.
Where do I sign up?

Danielle

One of the perks of having a job where I regularly drive to the dump. I got there at the same time as a Mars truck that was dumping excess candy for some reason, but it was all fine to eat and he gave me a few boxes.

Shared some pictures with my sister-in-law. She said that she loved them.

She side-stepped the masculine/feminine question and what my brother thought of them. Leads me to believe that she didn't want to say anything bad so said nothing at all ... which is still bad.
I left the door open, only a few came through. such is my life.

It's never a good idea to leap off Conclusion Bridge.  ;)

@Faith
Dear Faith:
I hear you loud and clear.

I have been at the point of even with various "cheaters" that there are some jars....
especially my coveted pickle jars (I must have pickles)... that I still can not open them.
I then just bring them to work and go over to my next door coffee shop and ask one of the male employees or perhaps an aquaitnce there like a husky logger or trucker having a coffee to help me get the lid open, then I can take the jar back home.   This has happened way too frequently.
    As a side benefit, this is a great way to meet new people!!  ;)
Hugs,
Danielle

no pickles for me, thank you .. olives!!  :D

I can just picture my co-workers if I brought in a jar to have them open. Yeah, not happening.
I'll ask my son to open it, I just have to plan ahead :)

@Faith
I can get most of my green olive jars open, they are usually smaller than the big pickle jars.
One of my favorite "cheaters" is my Vice Grip with the integral chain
that I can get from my tool chest out in my garage.

Also, I have a great big pair of Channel Locks that works on the smaller jars.
But I am not always successful with those devices plus if one is not careful the jar can get broken using them.

Well, I have no family in this state and no neighbors anywhere nearby,
relocating and rural living does have a few disadvantages.

A girl has gotta do what a girl has gotta do.
The coffee shop is my go-to place for more than just getting jars open  ;) :o >:-)

Yes, I know this one! It took a lot more effort yesterday to twist in the settings on a torque wrench. I was shocked!

Dear Faith.... ahhhh you caught the humor in my sentence.... yes indeed, I get much more benefit from the next door coffee shop than just coffee and getting my jar lids opened.... , that is where I have met many of my best friends in town and also my suitors!! [emoji173]

It was very fortuitous for me to locate my office where it is, it couldn't be a better location for a lot of reasons.
Thanks for your post.... funny it was, but also quite true!!!   And as you surmised I don't tell all of my secrets.
Hugs,
Danielle

Happy: getting cat called...
Unhappy: getting cat called...

This is one of these double edged things... on one hand very affirming on the other hand just plain creepy.

Oh - and of course twice. On my way to daycare and on my way back. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

The longer I am full time the less affirmative such behavior is and the more creepy it becomes.

Dear Sarah:
I completely agree with you ....  it is definitely "one of those a double edged things"

I have gotten cat-called by both men and women here.... if it is done correctly and in good taste it is indeed very affirming and flattering.

Thanks for posting your thoughts....
Hugs,
Danielle

I always think it's double edged when on Tinder when you both swipe right, you exchange a couple of messages and then suddenly they unmatch which is the point at which you realise they actually read your profile and realised you're trans.

On the one hand it's like "Yey, I'm clearly not only passing but I must be hot enough as a female for people to swipe right for me" whilst simultaneously saying to yourself "oh my god, I'm going to die alone, where's that undateables application form"

Thank you Danielle,
It was a great night and my eldest son made sure everyone knew. I try to fly behind the radar and he knows how to catch me out.
Yes it's a birthday, the main thing it's another day waking up breathing.
