This makes me so sad, I can relate to what this girl was going through. It seems that the church has failed greatly in this case. Jesus commanded us to love and minister to marginalized people, not to judge them. It makes me sad that the church has judged and marginalized the LGBT community when they have no place to judge. Jesus said (and I paraphrase), Before you point out the speck in your brothers eye, remove the beam, ie huge piece of wood, from your own eye. There is nothing in the Bible that says a transgender person cannot make the transition. And before anyone starts quoting Deuteronomy, Remember that she is not a "he", she is a she and can marry anyone she sees fit. I am not ashamed to be a Christian, but I am ashamed of the people who call themselves Christian and do this sort of thing to a child
