Hey, awesome video!

Just wanted to let you know my experience as far as changing my name went. I live in FL so the rules are different, but what I do know is that if you cannot afford the name change you ask for a waiver (as you are filing the petition). For example, you fill out the paper work, have it certified (that's how it's done here), then when you go to file and they ask you for the money you tell them you need a waiver. They make you fill out a paper and if you qualify right on the spot, then you don't have to pay anything to the court. :D  That's what I did and our filing fee was $401.00. Good Luck!

That is super awesome to hear! I am in New Jersey so I don't know exactly how this stuff works here. My cousin is a lawyer in the state so I am planning on getting in touch with him and asking him about this stuff and I will ask him about waivers too! Thanks!

I googled "new jersey name change waiver" and the first link was a pdf file for the waiver. :D Fill it out and hand it in with your name change packet.
