Pain on only one side?

I've noticed that the amount of pain I experience from my shots is dependent on the side of the injection. When I inject into the right side of my stomach, little to no pain, but into the left always hurts quite a bit. Is there a reason for this, is it maybe my technique works better on one side than the other?

Do you inject in the muscle or fat tissue? And how long have you been on T?

This happens to me when I do shots on my left leg. I'm right handed and also right legged. So any time I do my left side I experience a little more pain just cause I get more nervous doing the left side. I'm hoping to adjust more as I do more shots.

Fat, and a little over 4 months on T.

I don't know if you can get scar tissue from injecting in the fat but id say either you have more scar tissue there or there's a nerv on that side that get's irritated by the fluid once it's inside and push against the nerves . If you'd hit a nerve you would feel it but I don't always hit a nerve but sometimes I'd be sore for a day or two even thou the process went fine so that's why I have that theory

Maybe it is the way you have the needle angled since it is the opposite side and you are still using your dominant hand?  Or you have your hand turned in some way that is actually pulling up on the skin while you are pushing the oil into it?  I noticed this too and I am right handed and it was my left side, like you.

I've speculated that it's probably angle. I try to keep it the same, but I doubt I always succeed. I imagine you're right.

I imagine it isn't scar tissue because I've done my injections far more often on the right side because the pain has been this way since very early on. The pain is definitely worse once I have the needle in, so maybe it is fluid related, but it's also a lot more painful when I pierce the skin on the left than the right.

Sorry guys, but I thought that the butt cheek or thigh were the main injection sites? I've been on T for a year now and I never heard of using the stomach, I always do the butt cheek since there is more fat for it to absorb into and its less painful.

CursedFireDean is on Subq injections, so that is why the stomach is an acceptable place to inject.

I've noticed the same thing injecting into my thighs. I think it just has to do with the fact that you're injecting from different angles depending on the side.
