Finally admitted it

Hi everyone...I'm here because after a life time of dysphoria and depression and self-loathing, I'm finally admitting that I'm trans.  For a long time I even lashed out at trans people who were braver than me and presented as the gender they identified with.  I recognize that a lot of that was self hatred.  I'm still working through a lot of things.  I have a lot of questions...a lot of fears.

I'm 31...pretty old to be finally admitting these things.  For years I've just sat online and told people I was male because it was a preferable fantasy to reality.  This week I came clean to all my online friends.  I lost a lot.  People were hurt that I lied about so many things.  But I'm ready to start over now.  Honestly.  So....hi.

Hi! Welcome to Susan's! Internalised transphobia is quite common and can present quite a barrier to self acceptance. 31 isn't too old, in fact it seems to be the average age! :)
