Thanks, mrs izzy.

I got a call from my mum a short while ago this evening to say that my dad has been taken back into hospital and had more surgery. Going by what she was told, it could be serious. I'll be meeting up with my mum at the hospital tomorrow and then we'll go see my dad together, so I'll report back as to what's going on when I return home later in the evening.

Thanks again, Devlyn.

I went to see my dad today and as it turns out, it isn't as bad as my mum and I were lead to believe. Basically she had heard from someone else that lives nearby (she and my dad live in mobile homes and they know loads of other people there) that my dad had been rushed into hospital and that it was serious. What happened was that my dad had a build up of pus in his abdomen that caused a "lump" to form. He had emergency surgery to remove the pus and he's now recovering from that. So all is more or less ok with him at the moment. What my mum told me was basically Chinese Whispers that she had heard from other people. Not overly helpful. :( My mum and dad aren't together anymore, they seperated almost 20 years ago, but they still managed to end up living a few doors from each other. :D

Will go see my dad again next week so will keep you all updated.

Sorry it's been a while since I last updated this topic, I've been busy on a course.

Anyway. I heard from my dad today and he told me that his Chemo has been cancelled because his doctor thinks that it was more likely to be bad in the long run. He said that he would die sooner if he continued. He is going to have a blood transfusion in a few days to see if that'll flush out some of the bad stuff in his blood. His doctor also thinks that'll extend his life more than Chemo.

Hopefully I'll go and see him before that happens. Will update you again soon.
