In recent days my dad and I have been speaking about how things are going with his surgeries. He's had some tumours removed from his bowel, mainly the small intestine and that's pretty much clear now, so no Ileostomy needed. He had a ultrasound scan done today and it turns out he still has some tumours in his liver. The part that has bothered me some, is that he has been saying that the cancer is uncureable, which to me means it's terminal. He is due to have a meeting with some people in the hospital tomorrow to discuss what'll happen when he leaves hospital, which could be sooner than he originally thought, days instead of weeks or months. There is still the issue of treatment (Chemo) and that is the part that worries me the most. If his cancer is terminal, then it is only a matter of time before treatment will stop doing much of anything.
I should hear from my dad tomorrow about how the meeting went, so I'll update this topic then.
Thanks again.
Chris
