Hi, so I'm curious about making milk...I can't find much with Google (a lot of simple how-to's, but no "this is what I did and my experiences" type of pages).

I'm thinking of ordering a dual breast pump, but would like to hear from those who have actually done it...herbs, hormones, pumping/expressing frequency, thoughts good and bad, and of course when/why did you stop, and was stopping uncomfortable?

Thanks!

(Of course, no dosages etc, and anyone can post here, even though I'm mainly looking for MtF experiences)

Just get prescribed risperidone of course you might have to have mental freak out to get prescribed it , not that great you gain tons of weight

Seems to be a rather risky way of being able to do what should be a natural process.

The mental freak out part I've already done...and anything with a known side effect of "gaining tons of weight" probably isn't good for my situation.

I have been lactating for most of the last two years.

Almost all the information applicable to women also applies to the post-op TS so search for induced lactation.

The only difference I found was that I had to do a regime on progesterone because my breasts had not fully matured on estrogen only.

Now I don't take any supplements, herbs or anything now and continue to produce milk.

My endo is a trans* specialist. Not uncommon to modify HRT so that a trans* woman can feed her IVF baby. It is, so I'm told, very bonding.

Too late for me!

Sadly.

I produce some liquid from my nipples when I try to express by hand,  it is milky coloured.  Not much,  but I have abnormally high levels of prolactin in my blood and also gynecomastia.  I haven't taken any HRT yet.

In fact when I speak with my psychiatrist and still have elevated prolactin I will tell him to go ahead with HRT even if it means making milk.  I think it would be a lovely experience(for a while anyway LOL)

The web design itself is very dated, but there's a lot of good info on the site.

I have been lactating for more than a year.  I can give them a squeeze today and shoot a stream across the bathroom (even after BA).  I tried expressing and pumping to help develop size, to no avail and stopped.  The milk keeps flowing.  I didn't know they were producing milk until my first mammogram.  After the mammography machine smashed my boob down on the table, it started dripping milk on the table.  I was shocked, but the technician took it all in stride and said, "oh you have a little discharge there, honey".

I did notice that I had run out of E after being on normal high dosage for MtF for a long time.  So, like a pregnant woman that is creating high levels of E during the pregnancy, and her E production drops suddenly after delivery and prolactin is released, I had the same effect after being on high doses and an abrupt stop.  They still produce quite well nearly two years later.

Domperidone (Motiliumâ„¢) is a drug that has, as a side effect, the increase of milk production, probably by increasing prolactin production by the pituitary gland.

I was able to buy a new electric dual-breast pump. Started using it a few days ago, and I don't know if this is how fast things should be happening, but both my wife and I have noticed a difference in "the girls". More full, rounded shape. The bra is also filled to capacity.

No actual liquid yet though...but the pumping is almost addictive. 15 minutes at a time, 2-3 hours apart (even at night LOL...babies get hungry at all hours!) so when I miss a session I get an emotional craving to hook up again.

Updates as things happen (or not).
