FreeToM Paint Upgrade

On the freetom website, it lists the paint plus upgrade as $169... does that mean an additional $169 to the initial price of the prosthetic itself??? Don't get me wrong, it looks great, but this thing would have to work miracles for me to be willing to pay $300+ for it.

I don't personally have one, but on the Paint Plus Upgrade page it does make it sound like it is an added cost. Personally, I'd ask someone that got theirs painted how it's holding up. It doesn't say what materials they're using to paint them, but I got a free painting on a packer from Packer Locker and it almost immediately started to deteriorate after daily wear and a trip to the shower.

I don't really see the point in a packer that can't be worn all the time, so if the paint won't hold up with daily wear I wouldn't spend extra for it, regardless of how much the extra is.

Its made from silicone paint, it does not fade much if at all from what I've seen. But like spending that much in additional cost is a bit much for me.

IMO, it's not a nice enough prosthetic to warrant this. Obviously it makes the prosthetic more realistic, but not everybody can wear this one. Also perhaps you may only be able to wear it for sex, and you'll just cover it (or SHOULD!!) with a condom.

Yeah that's my main concern. I'd be willing to pay the original price to try it, but if I end up actually liking it I would definitely want the upgrade. I don't know if you'd be able to send it back in for the paint if it's already been used though.

I've ordered my one a while ago and I'm gonna attempt to 'paint' it myself and see if there's an easy method to make it look more realistic without spending that much money. I was gonna put on here my findings as to what works to colour my packer if you're interested. Alternatively you can wait to see if they put up any 'pre-painted' models which they sometimes do, but rarely. They are usually cheaper than getting the upgrade.

I bought one of the "Pre-painted & Made" ones back in Dec. I absolutely love this prosthetic, but I would not recommend paying extra for the paint upgrade. The paint started to wear off within a week. I don't wear it daily, maybe a few times a week, but the paint on the head is almost completely gone and the details on the shaft have practically disappeared. While the prosthetic itself is my favorite and I plan on purchasing from them again (if they ever decide to start selling the 3.5 an stp!!!), I do not recommend paying the extra $169 for the paint upgrade. Really? That's a shame, it looks great and for the price you'd think it'd last a lot longer.

This is worrisome because silicone paint does NOT come off.  Not once it's cured and sealed properly.  So either they're not actually using silicone paint, or their process is flawed.
