Hello all
I'm Nina, nearly 50, living in Ottawa Canada.
I'm not sure what else to say, but maybe I can be a resource.
Not that I have all the answers, but in six short years, I've gone through a lot to get to where I am today.
I didn't lean on a lot of people during my transition, sort of tackled each problem as they came.
So where am I exactly?
Well, six months post op.
I run my own business, and I'm engaged.
A lot to be grateful for, but I wouldn't be where I am if I didn't have determination and said to hell with a lot of stuff.
The next 50 years are going to be awesome.

Btw, why can't I add a picture to my profile?
I read the rules, just don't get where I add pics or adding "F" to my profile.

Thanks

Hi Ninas,

Welcome to Susan's. It is always good to have experienced members to aid those who are just starting out.

I see you have questions and I am providing some links to not just rules but some answers to your questions regarding adjusting your profile.

Thank you

I've clicked on the link you provided for photos, but I still do not see where I can add a photo to my profile.
I go to my profile, there is no "add" button.
I've tried both on my desktop and my ipad, but neither has any option to add a photo, my gender etc.

I also see I'm listed as "guest".
Is that perhaps why I'm unable to add information?

Thank you

I think you need to post more than 15 times to be able to add an avatar in your forum profile  ;)

Yes, life is treating me well. It wasn't always this way, but I hunkered down back in 2008, set myself a game plan, and here I'm six short years and have realized my goal.
I've chatted and met so many along the way, but I've learned, sometimes, if you want something so bad, you have to be willing to give up something. I gave up a ton, but wouldn't change a thing.

Welcome to Susan's Nina.  I admire your determination and understanding of what counts toward goals.  Yes, there are situations where something or someone may have to be given up for the greater good.  Tough choices for this sissy girl to make at one time :D

As LordKat notes it is good to have some experienced members around and thanks for sharing your journey.  There's no doubt about where you are with that hockey rink back round.  Slapshot ;D
