Tomorrow, I planned a pretty good day with some nice things to treat myself with. I haven't done anything particularly nice for myself in a long time and feel having a day of pampering or treating yourself is great for the brain.

So..tomorrow I'm going in for a fitting for a bespoke suit and getting a haircut with beard trim+shapening. I'll be getting food and stuff, too.\

Do you ever do anything to treat yourself? Have you ever had a day for yourself dedicated to treating yourself right?

I've had a lot of stress in my life recently, and I've had almost every single Saturday for the past few weeks be my 'treat yo self' day. For me, it means eating whatever the heck I want, taking long showers (I'd take a bath but I live in a dorm that used to be a motel. My butt isn't ever touching that tub), catching up on TV shows. I'd love to go out to a barber shop sometime but I recently stopped passing which is part of my stress so that wouldn't be productive for a me day right now. But basically for me it's just a be lazy and do whatever I feel like day. Feel like ice cream? Go get some. Feel like driving to my friends' apartment to pet the cat? I'll get in the car and go. Want to finish a book? I'll sit there and read all day.

Yes, as for me, life's been pretty stressful over the past few months. Even tho I don't have alot of money, every now and then I see something I have to have. My dad kinda always raised me to be frugal, so I feel very bad or don't really give myself the choice of getting anything over $30, so I constantly look online on cheap clothing sites, or sales, clearance, and thrift stores in person.

My latest treat myself week, I wanted to try to mix up my wardrobe, and have a more cleaner, simple look, so I ended up walking pass a store in the mall that caught my eye with having a Buy one, get one free on all their Clearance stuff. The first time I walked in that store, I didn't care too much for their clothes, but when giving them a second chance and looking thru all their Clearance stuff (they had alot) I found myself picking out several pieces. And to my surprise they were extremely cheap. In the end, I walked out of that store with about 8 shirts (to include 2 sweet muscle shirts) and 1 pair of black jeans for around $30 total for everything (so less then $4 per piece). Never felt so excited about getting a new, nice wardrobe in my life without breaking my wallet. So for those who don't have alot of money, there is hope.

Other then that, it's just treat myself to some nice foods I've  craving at the moment or just have a chill out day and watch nothing but t.v. all day.

I like getting a hot stone massage, or a remedial massage depending on how my back is, and some froyo afterwards. Either that or having a proper shave (with shaving cream!) at home. I don't get the massage and froyo very often, its too far to travel on a regular basis.

I will buy stuff on Ebay or officeplayground, and/or I will buy mall food.

Way more often than I probably should! It's usually clothes. I definitely don't need new clothes at all, but if I see something I like that fits well I usually get it as a treat :)

Top surgery is my big splurge of the spring though, so I might need to cut back on my clothes purchases.

The hair colour was def a treat myself, whim at a moment's notice. The cut was planned. Purple seems to work for me!

I also treated myself to new boxer-briefs recently, so happy to be wearing guy items, even if it's under the other clothes!

Hey, it can be the little things... even just Mr. Limpy sitting in guy unders instead of girl ones!

I like to spend the day exercising (lifting weights or going for a long run) and then doing yoga and eating homemade healthy food. I have an old clawfoot bathtub, so I usually then take a long hot bath and read a book and mask my face and put egg yolk in my hair.

I usually don't go out or do much shopping to treat myself because (1) I don't have a lot of money. . . (2) if I blow it on myself that'll ruin all the discipline I had all week/month/year, and (3) it's a bad habit to spend a lot of money on a treat if I don't have the money.

When I do have some cash that okay to burn, I tend to buy craft supplies. It makes me feel good to have lots of things that I can make stuff with and either give away or sell the final product.

You know, it's been a LONG time since I went out to treat myself. Yeaaaars now.

But, the last time I did it, I went to my favorite breakfast and dinner places for food, bought art supplies from a local store, saw a movie with my best friend, and took my mom out to a local spa where we had mani-pedis together.
I'm pretty sure I just exuded raw masculinity in that last statement. ;) But you know what? Ain't anybody gonna argue with how fantastically perfect my nails looked.

Thai food. That was always my treat because I love food. I can't get it here though, at least not really good Thai so I have taken to making Mexican whenever I can. It is always a treat though since I have to make time to go to the import store four cities away. Non food treats are always socks or sweaters. I have 52 pairs of socks now, and that's after getting rid of half of them...

Ended up going with separate pieces instead of a made to measure suit.

I always like to save up some money so I can go out and buy myself some new clothes. I've been out for a while, but it still feels so great to wear guys' clothes after being miserably forced into girls' clothes for so long. Of course, I tend to regret spending so much money afterwards when I really should be saving up for more important things. But it's usually worth it.

I do when I can afford it. I typically like to treat myself with a frozen or iced coffee.
