Subcutaneous injection information

I had my first ever injection of testosterone cypionate on Friday night at 8.30, given by my wonderful neighbour...while my housemate and other friends cheered me on.  Whatta buncha pals, right?

Now, I'd much rather do SQ injections, but my nurse practitioner and the doctor have both said they prefer IM injections.  I know that testosterone cypionate is oil-based and therefore does better in the muscle.  But surely there are options for subcutaneous injections, right?  So, does anyone have any access to information about SQ injections and the types of testosterone that work well with SQ administration?  Articles?  Scientific data?  WPATH stuff?

And...well, probably a dumb question, but how soon did you guys feel the effects of your first injections?  As in increased energy, increased heart rate, increased libido, increased appetite, those sorts of things.  I'm once a week until further notice, which I'm told is low dose, and I can't really tell much so far.  And yeah, I know, this could very well be a YMMV thing.  I was just curious.

I was having mine as tablets initially over three months before I started on injections. (Australia likes taking things slowly)

Seeing as you're on a fairly low dose, don't expect things too quickly. However, that being said, everyone is different and you'll be on that dose for a reason no doubt, so things such as appetite and libido might kick in a lot sooner. I think it took a few weeks before mine started to pick up, but at the start of treatment everything seems to take such a long time, especially when starting with a low dose.

Just a reminder to not post your dosages.
