I love that I live only 1.5 hours from Dr. Brassard, so I can take advantage of follow up appointments.
Yesterday was about 1/2 year since GRS and my 2nd follow up appointment.
He looked under the hood, said all looked fine, just a little bit of dead tissue...suggested I douche more often.
Disappointed, but I expected him to say no, I so miss bubble baths. Said to wait another six months :(.

Stopped in to say hi to Florence in the kitchen, saw a number of gals chillin' in the living room.

He's such a nice guy  ;)

Sigh... If only I live 5 hrs drive away I will do that too. West coast is just too far.

I was there Tuesday with my husband for his 2 month check up to see Dr. Bélanger.

We live on the island so its like 20 min with out traffic.

Glad the check up went well.

Next time in the city will have to catch up for lunch or coffee.

Oh, cool...you live right there.
Absolutely!
Brassard suggested another follow up at 1 year...so that'll be September, but we always look for opportunities to get out of Ottawa.

Hey Muffinheart, Im jealous, I live in the middle of nowhere SD USA....
Its good to hear your doing well recovering 8) Im SO looking forward to this :)

My psych just agreed to write my first letter to Dr Brassard... I have to live through full FFS then get in to see my new psych for the second letter and I can set my date ;D Im hoping for a late August/September date but I'll of course take anything...

With the favorable CAD/USD exchange rate its only a bit more than $15K USD, that seems like a hell of a deal compared to all the US surgeons at $20-30K USD and Im thinking you get better aftercare to boot... Im not sure why more US women dont go to Montreal ???

My question is what does Dr Belanger do during the surgery??? I understand they work as a team right???

Also do you have any issues with hair growing in the wrong places and did you do any laser or electrolysis before your surgery???

My question is what does Dr Belanger do during the surgery??? I understand they work as a team right??? Yes they do tag team. One is doing prep as other does the surgery, one opens one closes. etc.

Also do you have any issues with hair growing in the wrong places and did you do any laser or electrolysis before your surgery??? Hairless. It looks natural.

Lol I wondered what Belanger did as well. I know her area of experience is FTM top surgery, but she was there in the operating room. Thank God I was out during the surgery, so I didn't get to see what she does.
I don't have issues with hair in wrong places, just general hair growing. Not one inside the vagina, but enough to think I will definitely do laser. My scars are healing nicely so I do shave here and there....being super careful of course.
I did not do laser/electrolysis as the documentation said it wasn't necessary.

Thank you Eva. I'm not sure if I consider myself lucky or blessed, but I had no pain post surgery....didn't even take one Tylenol, and since coming home, no concerns or worries.
It does sound like you said, with the exchange rate now what it is, Dr. brassard is fairly reasonable to most Americans. I don't know why more to to Brassard....they still do a hell of a lot of surgeries. I think I read his clinic has done 1500 surgeries in 16 years. And the aftercare IS awesome.
As I said in my response below to Mrs Izzy, no idea what Belanger does.
And no, I didn't do laser or electro prior, but thinking I'll do some laser now that all is healing nicely.
Good luck!
