Sympathetic hair stylists in Manchester,England?

Hello,if there are any members here in the N.W.of England,please can they tell me if there are any hair dressers in Manchester willing to give a m to f trans person a female hair style?

Hi! At the moment, to be honest, I don't know. Well I do know of one place but I wouldn't recommend it! I've got an Amazon voucher to get my hair cut at a fancy salon in the city centre and I intend to go soon, but I won't be talking to them about being trans.

To be honest though, I doubt youd have much trouble finding a place in Manchester. With some of them you can email beforehand, so you could always try asking that way? There is a hairdressers in the gay village called, er, Village hair you could give them a try?

This does not answer your question but what I did was search for stylists in my area (San Diego, CA) that had a private salon which usually means a small salon that can only see a single person at a time. I then got ready to call the ones I found and flat out ask "I am transgender and I am looking for a stylist to help my hair style become more feminine."

I got lucky and the first place I called was willing to work with me and completely understanding. I was very nervous doing it but well worth it.
