My eyebrows are naturally pretty thin, in fact I often get people asking how I do them even though I've never plucked them in my entire life. However, I feel like this contributes a lot to my not passing, and I'm pretty insecure about it. I'm hoping they'll thicken up on T, but since they've been thin my whole life I don't know if there are even hair follicles there and if it'll make a difference. Does anyone have any experience with this? Have you noticed a significant change in the thickness/shape of your eyebrows, and if so how long did it take?

I do think that eyebrow thickness is one of those subtle differences that people use when subconsciously assuming the gender of a person.  Thin eyebrows are perceived as dainty and feminine.  I hadn't ever noticed this until I started looking at ftm before-and-after pictures.  But those pictures do show that testosterone will eventually lead to darker and thicker eyebrows.  I've been on T for about 3 ½ months, and I can see that my eyebrows are just a little bit bigger and darker now compared to pre-T.

I've always had "shapely" eyebrows too but i have noticed they've somewhat thickened on testosterone. Nothing drastic but a small difference. Give it time

Not sure if my brows thickened, but they definitely filled in a bit 7 months into T.. not dramatically but enough to feel a bit more "square"

Have you considered using an eyebrow pencil to thicken it a bit? I do sometimes and I feel like it helps with passing... (the NARS eyebrow pencil is pretty good) if done lightly comes of pretty natural. No one has noticed it so far.

I second the motion of thickening them through makeup. I use a small brush and lightly coat mine with a dark eyeshadow and it makes my face look 10x more masculine. I just follow my natural eyebrow line, I don't try to make them broader. I just coat them so they look fuller.

I didn't have thin eyebrows by the width, but I did have very sparse eyebrows. There just wasn't much hair there, but they have gotten a bit darker since I started T. They're still thin but I can definitely tell that overall they're darker. It's one of those things that subtly gives people cues, so them darkening even just a little has helped a lot with passing. I wouldn't worry too much about it, and if it's bothering you in the mean time, follow everyone's suggestions and use a little bit of makeup. Eyeshadow or eyeliner (used sparingly!) can darken them nicely, and it's completely unnoticeable.

For me, eyebrows were very quick to darken and gain a few new hairs after starting T. I naturally had thicker eyebrows, but they've definitely gotten more "masculine." Curiously, since I've started testosterone, the hair between my eyes (read: unibrow) has actually stopped growing. I haven't taken the detail tool on my clippers to it in at least two months and it hasn't grown back nearly as fast as it used to before T, and I'm under the impression that it's stopped growing altogether since at least a month and a half ago.

Despite being blond I've always had pretty dark eyebrows. They definetly got thicker and fuller on T. My mom even said it looked like I had used make up to get them look like that. :D Can't really say how fast it happened, I just noticed it one day.

I have close to 5.5 months on T (with one half to two thirds of that time being low dose).  When a member brought this up a week or so ago I looked in the mirror and did notice they were a bit thicker.  So, if you average out my dosing, I guess I am about 3 months in and there is a difference.  My eyebrows have never been especially thin or shaped like a girls (more straight across), so I guess I am lucky in that way.  I think I will ask my GF to show me how to use her eyebrow pencil to see if I can get it wider.

ETA:  So, I just found out she doesn't have an eyebrow pencil.     She said they are like $5, so I will get one.

I have, but I have little to no knowledge of makeup and I'd worry that it'd be noticeable, if I could even manage to pull it off at all. The problem isn't necessarily the thickness of the actual hair, they're just shaped very feminine.

I had arched eyebrows for years with no effort. After three years they are more squares and blocky. I looked at old pictures to be sure. I'm a blond, but I have noticed that all my body hair has gotten darker. With the exception of my beard, much to my dismay.

Thanks, this is what I needed to hear. Do you know around what time it started becoming noticeable? And are you comfortable with posting pictures?

I had the same issue.  Thin eyebrows pre-T and there was nothing I could do change them.

But remember that even if T doesn't thicken them up noticeably (it usually will, to a small degree), the changes that the hormones make to the rest of your face will counter them.

There are plenty of (cis) guys with thin eyebrows, but the masculinity of the rest of their face doesn't make it an issue:

Did someone lost some eyebrow hair from a long time plucking before T, and then after starting T, some of it regrown after years?  ???
I had thick eyebrows in the past, and now I miss them so much...

From old photos I would say they got thicker in the 3 month range and totally different by 7 months. I don't post photos as a rule since I'm a teacher and I work with really small children.

I would assume it would grow back regardless of whether or not you're on T. It might take a while, but I'm almost 100% sure eyebrow hair grows back.

Unfortunatelly, this is not true. When I was young, before plucking my eyebrows, I had very thick eyebrows, full of hair. Just one year plucking it into a thin style was enough for them to not growing to what they were used to be.  :'(
That's why old ladies, after years and years plucking their eyebrows, are used to tattoo fake eyebrows in their faces.

I expect that, by taking T, part of the hair that doesn't grow anymore have a chance to grow back after years. If not, maybe I would try an implant technique.

I don't think it's the eyebrow thickness that is masculine (lately, the trend for women is thick eyebrows), rather the brow ridge (bone structure). That's one of the ways to clock a trans girl, a number have that brow ridge whereas FAAB generally do not. That is influenced by genetics and testosterone. The shadow formed emphasises the brows as well.

Does taking T cause a brow ridge to form? I've heard that steroids can cause a more pronounced brow ridge but I'm not sure how true that is or if T would even have the same effect.
