Trans-friendly Doctor near Philadelphia?

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for trans-friendly doctors in or near Philly? North of the city would be even better, since I'm in Willow Grove, but I definitely don't have a problem heading into the city for a good primary care provider. ^-^

Mazzoni Center is amazing, but my current insurance (Independence Blue Cross/Blue Shield) only covers their therapists, not their other providers (oddly enough). So I'm shopping around for a good PCP who is accepting new patients. Also, uh, if anyone has any endo recommendations for a newly-hysterectomied trans guy, I'd love those as well.

Thanks!

Dr. McGinn's office might be worth a call - maybe they have some recommendations?

A member of my support group in Western MD traveled the 3 hrs to see her. She sings (OK... You DO NOT want to hear her do Karaoke!) praises of her.

There is also a Gender Clinic in Philly... https://mazzonicenter.org/

And of course... Philly hosts a great TG conference every year. My therapist admonished me for for not going. Several of my group members and her went last year. Plenty of trans resources

I have a friend who gets his T from Dr McGinn. No issues or anything. He lives in New Jersey and she seems willing to work with him over the phone. I believe he has BCBS.

(I agree re: comments on Philly Trans Health. I have gone the last couple years, an amazing conference.)

I was told that Jefferson hospitals doctors are trans-friendly.
I am male because I say so and nothing more.
I don't have to look or act like one therefore.

Drat.  I was going to suggest my doc at Mazzoni.

I can say Dr. McGinn is amazing.  I went to her for top surgery, and could not have made a better choice.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

Guys, it sounds like Roy is looking for a primary care physician, not a surgeon (McGinn).  I would ask Mazonni if they know any trans docs in the area that takes your insurance.

Mazonni doesn't take my insurance for my PCP visits (T visits), so they charged me based on my income.
