Hello all, My name is Elaine, and I am taking the first steps of beginning my own transition tomorrow. Really excited, and just as nervous.  :-X I am MtF and looking for a friendly place to discuss any questions and/or worries I may have.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you much!!  :)

Hi Elaine, welcome to the site :) Someone will be along before too long to post some good info about Susan's you can read through. So what is the step you are taking tomorrow if I may ask? First therapy session? Coming out to someone? Starting HRT? Regardless of what it is, congrats ^_^

First therapy session, I did come out to a friend a while back, but later regretted it. Thanks for the support.  :D

I hope your first therapy session goes well :) I had my first session a couple weeks ago actually and my second one is tomorrow :P

Said friend tends to have a loose tongue while drinking, which is often anymore. I was raised to be very masculine, and am quite good at using sarcasm to walk around the truth. I would treat it as a joke and have to subtly change the subject. But that's neither here nor there, and I'm just happy to be moving forward again.

Thank you, Amy. I made a single questioning mention about my dog being my companion and now I'll have a companion letter for her next week.  YAY!  I'd be lost without my little hound dog.

Hi Elaine, Welcome to the site!  I hope your first therapy session goes well.. mine was amazing when I had it; a huge weight was lifted from me after.  The world just seemed brighter from then on!
