When I changed my name I kept my first name so I've gone from gypsy luke P. To gypsy isla C.
This week I changed my bank details over. Guy was very polite, took awhile but we got there or so I thought. Received my card yesterday saw the Miss :) saw the C :) (always nice to see your real name). Opened it up looked at the card
Miss gypsyi C.

The 'I' is part of my middle name, not the last letter of my first idiots. I'm glad the titles are all fixed but I was real excited about reciving my card and then I look at this and it's like grr. Back to the bank I go.

Sometimes I swear Comm Banks initials (Commonwealth Bank Aus) stand for Can Bug@!#r Anything

At least you don't have one of those last names that nofreakingbody can spell or pronounce. That's part of why I'm changing mine eventually.

Well round 2 been and gone. Quick apology and a can you please wait 30 seconds ma'am. Let's see what happens when I get my new cards next week. They can't make two mistakes to the same person can they? Can they?

I had a love-hate relationship with my very unusual last name. Still, I would have been happy to keep it if not for my family issues. I wonder what my father thinks...he hasn't asked.

Having errors on cards and access cards can be so frustrating, especially when you've waited YEARS to live as your true self. And then you get something like "Ms. Malename Lastname." Seriously?

Yeah. Same bank.

At least they got Gypsy's title right I got Mr Grace Grace Lastname on my card! They fixed it pretty quickly though.

They'd save a lot of time and money if they could just get it right the first time.

I did relatively OK with the Dragon......got cards in the right name, middle initial etc. then came a statement with Mr Rosalind..........er, no. Quick email to the woman I'd spoken to.....and resolved. Credit card people still want to spell my name with one letter wrong, even though the card is right, can't be bothered with fixing that right now.

Lovely banks.

I was offered this week an automatic increase on my personal loan, (a we like you care to stay in debt longer deal?). I took this offer yesterday at the bare minimum. This reduced my payments (but also ment I had to be in debt for another year if I just paid the mininmum), and gave me the chance to make sure my name was correct on all my accounts, (it was love looking at my name :D the mistake was made on my card eleswhere). All looked good, until I came to my loan insurance, ARGHH! He may of filled out the new papers as me, but on the system I'm still old me. For some reason I couldn't bring myself to speak up. If I've ever needed a reason to pay off this loan quickly now I have one, once that is gone that should be gone also. (I hope)

And I thought that by keeping my first name initial with only a first name and Surname would save me hassles later when I do all this... seems it will not make difference....  ???

Not that bank tho, but I am sure with Telstra and my bank it will be the same! Aya  :-\

IT CAME IT CAME IT FINALLY CAME :D  ;D

It only took them three days to issue one with the wrong name, but a card with the correct name I had to wait over a week.  With all the cards we have to change over. Right now we have to be one of the few people that like getting mail. (Bills still not included)
