Hi guys
I'm 3 weeks post-op today, I thought today was supposed to be the end of dressing the nipples but they don't look right... I've followed Dr. G's instructions, could I have done something wrong somehow?

They just seem very light and un-nipple like.

Also the swelling on my right side, is this just part of normal swelling at this stage or should I be worried?

Thanks so much for any opinions

I believe it's too early to know what the nipples would look like. Also swelling is for awhile. I had swelling up to almost a year. Funny thing, I thought it was a little off kilter (just a tiny bit) but since the swelling went down they are perfectly even. Patience young grasshopper. :)

(I think that if you are super concerned you can ask the office if you could send an email to him.)

you are still healing. I can't tell from the picture if the left nipple is discolored or its just the angle. It really doesn't look that bad.

Even cis men have nipples that are not exactly even. Have you ever placed something over half your face, looked in the mirror and then did the same to the other side? Most people are not completely symetrical. It just looks like it. Once the swelling goes down and the last of the sutures are out, you may feel better. If you have any concerns as to possible infection, have your Dr. check the site.

I kept the dressings on for three weeks after the post-op appointment, so I had them on until 4 weeks post-op. I thought that was what Garramone told me to do. Not sure if it's the same for everyone, but I've watched other people's post-op appt's on youtube and it sounds like he says the same in those too.

Might be worth it to check with his office or check youtube, and keep the dressings on in the meantime just to be safe. I'm sure you're fine but it never hurts to be extra careful with these things.

I think you're fine, buddy.  You look like every other Garramone chest to me (including mine).  They will darken up.

newyorker is right.  Use the goop and dressings for 3 weeks after "reveal'.  Meaning, you will be 4 weeks post op on your last day of dressings.

Oh, and your chest looks GREAT!

You look great, brother. I had my fair share of wigging out about my nipples too. yours look better than mine did when I was three weeks out.
