Yes I already told my boss last year, but he is sweet and clueless most times. So now I have to tell him again, while I like a girlfriend's suggestion

"Dear everyone,
I'm a girl, and you're all nuts for not seeing it yet" (I've been showing for awhile).

He pays me so I don't think I should thou it is tempting. Here is my letter please tell me what you think. Don't be afraid to bring out the red pen or suggest improvements

"Boss,

For the past year I have been transitioning to female. This has not effected my performance in anyway, how I interact with our punters or how I present at work. (Please have you not noticed how I'm filling out my uniform and personal clothing? ). All I ask you can you please change your pronouns when talking about me. I am no longer he-him but she-her. (Hey at least now when head office say they have been speaking to the young girl there you won't have to correct them).

I enjoy working for you but as I have finally gotten all my paperwork in order,  and I told you before I started working for you full timelast year. I tthought it best I tell you again now. If you have any questions I am more then happy to answer them

My name"

Sounds good!

He will respond with " Sorry but I've known you as XXX for so long I slip up"

At least that is what one of my bosses said.

I told him I would cut off his nuts to help his memory.

Possibly not a comment to use in all situations >:-)

I think it's good. My only comment would be that we know what "transitioning to female" means but other folk may not understand without the broader context. If you don't feel uncomfortable saying it how about adding... "I am transgender and for the past year I have been transitioning to female. etc"

Good point, and maybe 'I am undergoing medically supervised gender reassignment' and if he wishes you can provide a letter from your medical people

"Boss,

I am transgendered, for the past year I have been transitioning to female, and have been receiving medical supervision to change my gender. This has not effected my performance in anyway, how I interact with our punters or how I present at work. (Please have you not noticed how I'm filling out my uniform and personal clothing? ). Well that went well I think. I believe he understands this time around, but I did get him with a hangover (not surprising). So I will have to see how it plays out, I'm going to have to try and be patient and speak in third person for awhile till it sinks in for him. Hopefully it won't take too long, but it's done

Thank you for the help

Punters are what we call people who bet on sports or racing.

It was interesting I ended up having to work today, (I get to play cool aunt tomorrow instead of working). He made one slip but there was no blinking when I handed in my new paperwork, and when I was talking about hormones, the fact I'm shrinking but growing breast and me being cool aunt tomorrow it was a natural conversation for once. If he was listening or not time will tell, but hopefully he was paying attention this time.

I hoped he soaked it up like a sponge so you don't have to deal with this again.

He's probably in shock - I bet!
'The odds are' he was still hungover from last night. At 10% strength and a few bottles I wasn't surprised

I hope so to but sometimes I'm not so sure he understands everything. If I have to do it again I think I'll will wear a short skirt when I speak to him. That will be fun, we are coming into winter and he describes me as 40kg soaking wet (slight exaggeration but I'm pretty much skin and bone. So the cold goes through me sometimes). I could get a bit of a chill trying to enforce a point. If I have to and it works it would be worth it, but why borrow trouble for now he seems to understand.

Sounds like your boss is a little naive. Just for the record: boss spelled backward is "double s - ob".
