Question about foundation

I have a question about foundation, as in ... the makeup kind.

Currently I use foundation to cover my entire face and neck to remove redness and greyness as well as to hide the facial hair I have left. I only use it when I'm going to be going somewhere, which is ... 5 to 6 days a week minimum.

How long does a typical bottle of it last?

I used to get about a month. I'm now a total convert to powder however. Physicians Formula. I just feel there is much more control with powder. By the way, it takes me 5 minutes max to apply foundation, blusher, finishing powder, lip stain and mascara. I'm guessing this may be untypically fast.

... It takes me about 45 minutes. But that's partially because I'm 75% blind, so I need to be careful.

I must be doing something wrong. My foundation seems to be running out after about two weeks full time. I've only used it once or twice before now.

You're probably using too much.
Maybe you have the wrong color or are using the product incorrectly.
Go to a makeup counter and ask for help.

I am a very big fan of "MAC Studios Face and Body Foundation".  I always use an airbrush to apply a flawless, even coat of foundation.  I've been working on my current bottle of MAC foundation since last october.  (I typically do makeup 5 to 6 days a week.)  So, after 5 months, the bottle is still about one third full.

I find that a smooth airbrush finish on my skin comes out as awesome as they say it does.

Lancome primer applied with an old flat makeup brush
Mac cosmetics prep + prime highlighter
I use a cheap flat concealor brush
( coz pink neutrakizes blue for hair and under eyes )
About one of the thickest products I have seen
Far surpasses even Bobbi brown cc and this highlighter
Dries fast and is buildable. Super thin layers and as many until
Satisified 
Now cover the color corrector. I use mac comsetics full coverage foinfarion
Buildable very light stays all day. I use expert face brush for this
Mac cosmetics studio fix liquid foundation and stippled over face.
I use the stippling brush for this
And than finalize with setting powder and spray
