I don't think it is overstated as it contains a significant amount of equine estrogens as well that the liver takes time to metabolize, so stay longer in the body and more significantly stimulate clotting factors. When you have an equally EFFECTIVE estrogen, called estradiol that is safer for and produced naturally by the human body, why take something that is higher risk? Estrone is also weaker than estradiol, about 12 times, from what I read and its conversion to estradiol is quite limited and seems to be to a much lesser degree than the other way around. I suspect that most of the feminization effect one gets from Premarin is from its horse (equine) estrogens.
Two equally effective options with one option being safer? Which would you choose? I think it's pretty obvious, don't you think??
