I guess for me I am so preoccupied with the fact I'm bleeding profusely I don't have too much time to feel dysphoric? The cramps are what do make me dysphoric, though.  In my head I kind of treat periods as just a medical condition almost, and it just so happens a lot of women know what it's like.

Also the fact that you're bleeding nonstop for days straight is pretty metal.  I don't see bleeding as either masculine or feminine, just that if you're dealing with it, you're much more of a trooper than the rest of the population.  When it comes to cramps, though, I just have to preoccupy myself with other things, and usually the pain I am can outweigh my gender dysphoria.  I have to pep talk myself a lot.

I remember the distress that periods brought about, man. I don't know if anyone mentioned them, but there's this company called THINX that make period underwear that capture the mess rather than having to wear any pads or tampons. No weird smells or diaper feel. According to one of my friends who uses them, they're very comfortable and you never have to worry about a leak. You just wash them and dry them and pop em back on for the next day. They were made with transguys in mind and they have a boyshort pair that is modeled by a transguy.

I don't think I can link the website (still a newb, keep forgetting the rules) but you can Google THINX and it should pop up. I feel like your parents wouldn't mind buying them either, since it's more cost effective than buying tampons and pads every month.

Hope this helps!
