4 to 8 weeks

I went to see my dad yesterday and he told me that he was told at the begining of April that he only has 4 to 8 weeks left... before he dies. My mum reckons he could live longer with blood transfusions, but as he's already had one done and he's laying on his sofa all day in constant discomfort, I think he might decide that going through that hassle will be more detrimental than good. He's stopped eating hot/cooked food as it just comes back up again, so he has been living mainly on cereal.

These next couple of months are going to be tough, that much is certain.

Big hug! I'm sorry, Chris. Both of my parents knew death was coming. It's good that there is a chance to talk. Personally, I hope a comet lands on me when my time comes. Make the most of your time, speak from the heart when you are with him, and don't be afraid. Someone gave me this link, I'm going to share it with you. I hope it's helpful to you.

To make matters worse, I've been thinking over the last few days about talking to my mum about my gender concerns and how I've spent most of my life crossdressing. I've lived a more or less "manly" life, but I don't feel "manly" much these days and that is begining to bother me. A few years ago, my mum helped me make a Superman costume. When I asked her if she could help, she thought the idea was daft and asked me when I'd wear it and all those sorts of questions. Now I'm worried about how she'll respond/react when I tell her about this other part of my life that I've kept to myself all these years. I've thought about sending her an email to explain how I've been feeling over the years, but as I said, I'm a little worried about her reaction. I have had a mass produced Supergirl costume hidden behind a wardrobe far longer than I've had the custom made Superman costume. I like them both though, but the Supergirl one is slightly better as it fits me like a glove and always has.

Any suggestions?
