Hi;  I was castrated by Dr. Arnkoff in Oct. 29th 20011 at 0800 hours. I would like to know if anyothers on this site were castrated by Dr. Arnkoff?  His charge then was $2000.00, now when I inquired about gettin my cords/stumps and scrotum removed, he said his fee is now $2500.00 per castration and to remove my cords and scrotum would be about the same, he also said he is now removing the penis of a few new trans.  Dose anyone know of a less expensive way to get my cords(which now have large stumps) where he severed them from my testicles and feel like small testicles, my everday care giver,  when she felt my stumps thought I had not been castrated until she squessed them to no reaction if they had been testicles I would have been in pain.  If anyone has any suggestion or comment please write me, the nurse allowed my sister to be with me and the Dr. allowed my ex to take photos as I was being castrated..please contact us    jere.timm@gmail.com  if you have any help...thank you, I'm new here, your Eunuch friend...jerrie

Hi jerrie. Welcome to Susan's.  :icon_wave:

Here are some links to site policies and other helpful information:

I don't have any information about your specific question, though hopefully others around here would have ideas.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

La femme Nikitta

Hi Jerre

That sounds frustrating! I had an orchi recently and everything got removed. The surgeon wouldn't remove the excess scrotum as he said that it is full of lymph tissue and if he does that swelling will be very large and healing will be hard. Also the scrotal tissue is useful for vaginal reconstruction.

You would think that the surgeon would have removed everything 'up high' and not left knots or wobbly bits. So saying, the blood can pool in the scrotum for 6-8 weeks and become quite hard. It will go away eventually.

I have heard of a number of TG women getting the penis removed. I am wary of the procedure as I have no real desire to be like a barbie doll, but i've seen American Mary, and if it's your thing *meh*. The thing I don't like about it is that a lot of women get this done as it is cheaper than having a vagina constructed, and helps in the locker room etc.

If you were to have it done, I would hope the surgeon is reputable and will leave you with functioning bits, not just a scar. Has he treated many trans women? How were their experiences?
