well for the last week I've been doing the full time thing in my neighborhood and going to the restaurants properly dressed . I still have a lot of fear about people I know seeing me and stoping to talk top me and asking me why I'm in a dress. So far it's been amazing . the manager in Einstein bagels gave me free donut holes and today I'm sitting having  coffee at the Cosi's on the corner  from my apt. building and the cook came out to say hi and told me I looked pretty, I had my new dress on. So far my fears have been greatly over blown. One more hang out to conquer and that is the morning shift at Starbucks. I've been in there in the evening with proper attire , but not in the morning with different group of friends. I feel so much better being me.

just in general, the population seems to be getting more and more accepting of transgenders. Having the attitudes in '89 and prior where most people in my area thought it was a joke rather than a real thing, to now when so many people are more accepted, its staggering.

Even with the increase in acceptance, I know that had to be a bit nerve wracking to you. Your willingness to go ahead and  do it despite the uncertainty, really shows your true character. I wish you luck at the one last stop you have to deal with. I admire your courage.
