I am looking for good surgeons. On the east coast is ideal, but if your info is accurate you can list anyone anywhere. Anyone who has had phalloplasty surgery, willing to share their results and opinions, is greatly appreciated. I have a short list of surgeons I've found thus far:

Loren Schechter - IL
Curtis Crane - CA
Christine McGinn - PA
Sherman Leis - PA
Note: I have read a review by a patient, saying that while operating the patient was screaming out in pain, and Dr. Leis replied, "No, you're fine," and continued. I also read others saying he has no bedside manner. I google mapped the place where he performs his surgeries, and it looks like a run down little house.
He is also known to work alongside McGinn and Rumer as well. Just a word of caution.
Kathy Rumer - PA

For those of you who know Transbucket, which will give you access to the photographed results shared by post op patients, you can search by surgeon, surgery type, etc. I have checked there, and although it's a very helpful website, there is definitely limited information on there. To anyone also searching for a surgeon or just medically curious, it is a good place to look.

I am submitting an essay and applying to get my surgery partially covered by the Jim Collins Foundation. Look them up for the submission info. Applications are accepted April through August and I believe the winners are selected and announced in November.

Thanks. Good wishes to you all, and good luck.

I wouldn't go to Dr Leis. Just saying. I think Dr McGinn can only do a "nonsensate phallo" (older procedure). She does a competent meta, my understanding. I've heard good things re Dr Salgado Fl, not on your list.

McGinn and Rumer do not work with Leis in any way.  Too, I think they would feel horrified to know that anyone thought that they did.

I agree. I would say that Rumer probably considers herself to be an ally, and McGinn is trans. I don't think they'd work with him. He does not have a good reputation in the trans community.

Don't think either Rumer nor McGinn does much in the way of phallos though.

From McGinn's website: "Metoidioplasty, Urethral Extension, Testicle Implants, Scrotoplasty, Insensate Phalloplasty." (I believe this is an abdominal phallo, this is a procedure without UL or a pump, afaik).

Rumer has nothing on her webpage. But she may do metas.

I believe Leis was involved in training both of them. IMO, Leis competence is not in question. He's not an ally, let's just say.

I haven't heard anything good about Sherman Leis, especially in terms of his general respect for gender nonconforming people. He seems to essentially think that it's appropriate to call transmen "she" if they still have their birth sex organs. Someone on here a while back told me they were at a conference he was presenting at and called him out on using the wrong pronouns to refer to people situationally, i.e. he/him for mtf and she/her for ftm; despite being told how triggering his language can be to the people he works with, he didn't respond to the individual and kept doing what he was doing. I have no experience with him firsthand or even secondhand, only through strangers on forums, but if someone were going to be operating on me the slightest possibility they didn't respect my body would be enough for me to decide not to go to them, honestly. He also refuses to perform urethral lengthening on his patients.
I am having scheduled for RFF Phalloplasty with Dr. Schechter on September 1st. There's a group that I belong to on Facebook and a lot of the guys in that group have upcoming surgeries with him, have logged their experience with him, etc. if that's something you would interested in. When I had my consult with him, he said his willingness to deal with insurance and states starting to recognize trans*surgeries as a medically necessary has turned GRS surgery into 80% of what he does and by next year, ideally, he said it'll be close to 100% of his business. I spoke to him briefly about how essential this is for me and how excited I am to continue another chapter of my life. It is a business, but just in that exchange, I could tell he gets gratification out of knowing he's helping people. I have only heard great things about him about the guys from the group I belong to as well.
Meow.

Dr Sherman's quote about Dr McGinn was "I trained her"  when I saw him for a consultation. I am assuming he also did her SRS.
I am male because I say so and nothing more.
I don't have to look or act like one therefore.

Yes, he also made sure to make tell the group in two different talks I was in that he "trained Chuck Garramone".  I'm sure he did but that doesn't mean "Chuck" didn't put his own spin on it (or change it all together...their chest looks nothing a like).  Take a look at Crane's chests versus Brownstein.  I personally think they look nothing alike.  Brownstein might have trained him, but Crane adjusted it.

Surgeons had no choice, but to go to Leis to learn bottom surgery if they wanted to train in the U.S.  There was no one else around.

Leis only does the abdominal flap.  Personally, I suspect he doesn't do anything else because he doesn't have the skills to do it well.

By the way, supremecatoverlord, that was me who wrote that post!  ha.

Thanks for your replies, guys. I appreciate it. Tonight or tomorrow I'm going to look for a Crane forum for reviews by his patients (just heard about it).

Hey Supremecatoverlord or Bimmer Guy: I have a fake facebook account I don't really use, could you possibly invite me to or tell me how to get to this group, please? I don't see a private message button under any forum names, not sure how else to ask.

Thanks!
