Hi all! Since tonight was the first night I found time to try out the new binder I'd bought from Underworks, I figured I'd give it my two cents so the rest of you guys can enjoy a little water this summer if a shirtless summer is a ways away. I'm probably jumping the gun a bit for some of you, depending on where you live, but 'round here it's been so warm and sunny that swim wear is definitely in season, or at least nearing it. So, without further delay, here's my review!
The first time I tried it on, dry and at home, it was very easy to get on. The sizing is the same as their other binders, so I didn't have any inconsistencies between their normal binder that I own. so for consistency, 5 points. The only thing that really bothered me dry were the seams; the binder is made with a thick, neoprene-like material on the outside, and canvas is sown into the inside, which means the seams get a bit scratchy and uncomfortable if dry.
Tonight, I was able to give the binder a quick round of laps at the nearest 24-hour fitness, and the binder worked great! The scratchy seams went away, the binder didn't roll up dramatically beneath my trunks, and no sideways looks at all. My breathing was only heavy because I haven't swam laps in probably 6+ years, and not once did I feel restricted in movement, despite the very efficient job the binder did at compressing my moobs. I honestly couldn't find a single problem with the binder, once I hit the water.
TL;DR, This binder is great for the novice and elite swimmers alike if compression is the name and binding is the game. I couldn't find any flaws in craftsmanship or purpose, but if I do in future uses, I'll be sure to update here.
Feel free to ask any questions you might have about the binder, I'll answer as best I can!
