Two things, I guess.
The first, I find, is to take the whole dating thing philosophically. If I meet someone and at least have a decent conversation, then the experience is a success, even if nothing else follows.
The second is to avoid drama. If that's what you're finding in the people you meet, it warrants a little examination as to why the relationship comes with drama. I do believe that some people need drama in their relationships, and that they either create it or find people who bring drama with them. If this is something that's wearing you down, look at whether the dynamics of your relationships need to findamentally change in order that you may find them fulfilling instead of taxing.
