OMG. Shaved my legs a couple of days ago and wish I knew what a wonderful feeling hairless legs can give.
Pantyhose, jeans, shorts and especially my nighties feel fantastic against my skin.
I know I will need to constantly keep at it but I do feel it is well worth the effort.

My wife is freaking out as she thought she had married a Man's Man. Might take a while for her to accept this next step in my experimentation. Wearing body suits, pantyhose and panties under my shirts, jeans and steel capped boots with painted toe nails (bright red) and clear polish on my finger nails. She is constantly on edge in fear of people finding out.
I am just loving the feeling and exhilaration and wish I could ditch my jeans and steel caps for a skirt and heeled boots.

Completely shaved my legs a couple weeks ago and it looked and felt great. The hair has been growing back slowly. Fortunately my wife has not noticed yet but she will have a real fit if she does.

Hi Girls,

I just signed up and am looking forward to adding my input. I have been shaving my legs for 6 years now. I've always been on the Girly side, but a bad infection in my leg meant I now have to wear support stockings. There was no argument on my side. It just seriously pushed the gender button in me, anyway, I find that not only do the hose feel better when my legs are shaved, but they actually stay up better. Now I don't have the hair working like a ratchet pulling them down with every movement.

My excuse when I first started was Restless Leg Syndrome (which I have). I just said that the hairs tickle me at night and it makes it 10x worse. Shaving seems to help.

I been shaving my legs for about three years now. My wife got used to it and no one has ever said anything to me when I wear shorts in the summer. I thought someone might but never been asked.

Oh my god I remember how amazing it felt the first time I ever fully shaved the legs. The silky smoothness was nearly intoxicating and made me realize why so many women put the effort in to keep the legs shaven. Although it's frustrating for those of us who have plenty of thick dark hair which is already stubbly by the next day.

Totally with you there Isabela!!!  The feeling is to die for, especially when rolling on the pantyhose  ;D

My legs are sensitive to the blade of a razor. I want to try something that won't tear them up. I already have scars on my knees from incidents when I was young (falling from attempts of riding a bike). Any suggestions on either shaving, or shaving alternatives?

Wish that my wife would agree with me shaving my legs. I have tried partial below the knees without her noticing and they look great in shorts. Be nice if I could do it totally. However, she agrees with me shaving my arm pits.

katiepie, buy a good razor w/ 4 or 5 blades, and some sensitive skin shaving cream..  bad shaving experiences are usually from bad shavers..
And suenz, my wife was not as bad about me shaving my legs as she was my chest and armpits.    if your wifr has issues about you shaving, ask her why does she care what others think.  doesnt she want your happiness as much as you try to make her happy, but this is for you!
you sound like you may be getting deeper into this than you let on.  best thing is to tell her now and not hide it if this is what you want..
my wife still has issues with my transition, but she has everything she wants.  Im showing her the good things we can share if she accepts me, but also she can see what she will loose if she makes my life miserable again..  I never planned it that way, but her first remark was she will leave me and i will be alone the rest of my life.  But after a while she realized it was her that would loose out.  Im just trying to get at, for now try to show her a side that may appeal to her.  If you cannot find that, then there will be issues in the future..  i wish you yhe best of luck, and do give this time with her, and alot of open dialog.

So it was only awful so far as the initial shave which took like 4 different showers to shave my legs fully. It was like a logger taking out a forest. My first razor was an off brand 3 blade razor, which was not really good at all.
Then once I got a decent paycheck I bought a nice three blade razor that has the sensitive bar attached, and shaving gel for sensitive skin. Haven't had problems since that first shave.

Hey Kate,
thought about epilating... bit ouchy first time, but epilating every couple of weeks (or when hair growth is about a couple of mm's (can be plucked)) gets less "ouchy", always most comfortable doing after a hot shower...

Just throwing an Idea to save those razor cuts and prickly re-growth.

I will also never forget the first time I shaved my legs, it was a Saturday afternoon. I used a shaving lotion and shaved with a razor. I got more excited with each stroke and seeing the smooth area left by the razor. I still shave my legs like that some 7 years later. I kept my legs shaved from that saturday..

I loved the silky smooth feel, I could not stop running my fingers over my legs and when i put on pantyhose, wow i felt like 10000x better.
Enjoying ride the hormones are giving me... finally becoming the woman I always knew I was

Yes, it's a wonderful feeling. I've been shaving my legs for some time now. Just started shaving my arms too, wish I did it sooner. I typically make sure to dry my razor after each shave, helps them last longer. Also, I go with the grain on more sensitive areas, like arm pits and bikini. No razor burn then. :)

I used to shave my legs in my twenties for bicycle racing.  The last few years when the girl inside demanded it I started again.  I noticed that in recent years there are large patches on my lower legs where no hair grows, probably due to extended use of beta blockers to control my blood pressure.

It took a few weeks for my wife to really notice, and she had no problems with it.  No one else has ever really noticed.

I haven't thought to use an epilator. Though I'll have to wait until at least payday to check on that.

Thank you Katrina.

Let's all climb aboard the choo choo train to happiness

Thank you Cynobyte.
I have been honest and up front with her and have let her know that even I don't know how far this journey will take me.
It is very early stages and I am confident we will find some middle ground. The main thing I need from her is to communicate rather than react at me when she notices something.
She is very accepting at washing my purchases and has set aside room in her drawers for my stuff.
I agree whole heartedly that unless you are open and honest with each other then there may not be a future together.

I was helping a friend in the weekend and was wearing shorts when his wife said to me "are you shaving your legs?" I replied "I might be" and then I quickly changed subjects. This is the type of situation that my wife fears due to other peoples reactions and I am waiting to see if anything comes from it. If nothing then later I will let her know and that may show her that fears of an adverse reaction may never eventuate. I am happy to have comments thrown my way from others but I also need to understand that the comments may be directed at me but they also impact her.

I am extremely lucky to have someone that understands and is willing to slowly work with me.
She has even suggested after the shock of my shaving my legs that I should look at getting them waxed but to go to a parlour out of our suburb incase someone recognises me. I will update this topic later once I have built the confidence to go through with making the appointment and then surviving the experience.

I really appreciate the support and advice.
