Recently things have been going downhill. My mom has become unsupportive as she honestly doesnt even bother to to use my preferred name and pronouns even if I or others correct her and when we do she just gives this disgusted and filled with hatred look.  Recently I have also been plagued with suicidal thoughts which i brought up with my psychotherapist however even with her assistance its tough and i want to tell my father about my thoughts but cant build the courage and always back down from doing it

You might have a look here for a few thoughts that might help:

I personally also like the twin comparison... you basically will be like your male/female twin, with the same sense of humour etc...

Maybe your therapist could help with explaining...
Some people come out via text or letter and show some materials like vids later...

You might think about supervised support groups...

And if you feel like it, please reach out, for example you can call here, or text via chat:

they also have a chat

Keep talking to people when you're feeling bad, your therapist should help take off some of the strain.

I'm really sorry to hear about your mum - she might just be going through a tough patch with coming to terms with it, I hope so comes round soon :(

I'll second what Laura7 said, there's lots of really helpful and supportive anti-suicide chats out there, please reach out if you're feeling like that again.

If you need somewhere to vent, my PM is always open, I'd be happy to be an ear for you :)

I hope things get a little brighter soon
