Of course I'm going to transition anyways... But are there men out there who would date a 5'11 woman? I just want to love and be loved ... Isn't love what life is all about?

A lot of men are attracted to tall women. I'm 6'0, and I've been with my husband for almost 8 years :)

Another thing I'm worried about is that I'm 20... And I no age is a huge factor to how well HRT works... What is the suggestion on how soon to start HRT? What age did some of you start HRT?

I started around the 50 mark, can't remember exactly  ::)
So been on around 12 years, happy with results, but always a little room fro improvement  :P, been slow, but that's age and take-up of HRT through myself.

Michelle Obama is 5'11" and she seemed to score a nice husband.

I used to be 5' 11" and now I'm 5' 7 3/4". My endo said it's not possible to shrink on HRT but it happened, so it clearly is possible. And even though I'm happy being shorter, I still like wearing 5" heels and towering over everyone. I also started at 27 and got crazy good results. So I think results depend more on genetics than age really.

I went to an lgbt clinic near me that works on the informed consent model and they got me started in something like two months. Sans therapy.

I guess a lot of it depends on whether the therapist feels you are ready for that, whatever guidelines they might be using, and so forth. They might refer you next month or the month after. Perhaps it's best that you ask them. They will want to feel confident that you understand what is involved and what can happen on HRT, etc - if you seem to be rushing the process there is a chance they will put the brakes on so don't pressure them. Then finding an endo who will prescribe might be whole other kettle of fish. Other issues might include your insurance and who takes it, etc, etc. So yeah, no easy answer.

I understand that you're in a burning hurry to start but an extra month or two won't make a massive difference in the long run.

The issue might be how easy it is to get to see an endo - some of them are book months in advance.

This is the truth.  I was actually able to get my therapist to refer me after only 2 sessions (though I'm waiting for confirmation that she actually sent the letter today).  But I already had the endo appointment set before asking her thanks to my neurologist who referred me for Vitamin D deficiency.  When the endo called me to schedule, I pulled a bait and switch and changed doctors as well as the reason for my visit.  The endo requires the letter though, so I was kinda putting the cart before the horse since I knew the endo appointment would be months out, and it is.   It was almost 7 months out actually at the time I scheduled it!

So yeah, see if you can get the endo appointment and at least get on the books while you wait for your therapist's recommendation maybe?

Yep I'm 36 and lost 2 inches so far. Used to be 5'8" now I'm an even 5'6".

What are the genetic factors? How would I know those? Or have an idea of them?

I don't think you can really know one way or the other till after you are a ways into HRT and it actually happens for you but you might get an idea if you look at your family (parents, grandparents, sisters) if the women tend to be smaller then the men its possible that you might have a slight size reduction but again you wont really know till after its happened.
