I would like to hear if your transition has been a happily ever after story, did you find the love and fulfillment you wanted as a woman? My husband wants to be a woman with a loving man by her side. Has it happened for you? I would love to tell him it is possible.

Well, I am, but with the same person I was before transition - and not with a man. So maybe not what you had in mind, but I still think we had a happily ever after.  :)

I don't know if you would answer this but do you still have a sexual relationship? That part would end for me, I'm a straight girl.

I met my husband after I went full-time in 2007; we are happy and in love with each other :)

I met my husband in 2008, we married in August 2010, we're now still happily married 5 years as husband and wife.
If your going thru hell, just keep going.

Oh! Yes,  should have mentioned that - we're as romantically and sexually involved as before. (Maybe more so, actually; my wife is bisexual and found sex painful back when I was a guy.)

I first dated my wife in 1978, 10 years pre SRS for her. Almost 40 years later we are still together. Almost 6 years after me dropping my own T-Bomb, we are still together.

It takes work, and we think it's worth it. We both also know all too well what may develop on my front. One day at a time

Met my partner after I transitioned, but I'm still pre-op, lesbian relationships are definitely different but can totally work.

I met my last partner after I transitioned, if she hadn't passed away, we'd probably still be together. We certainly loved each other..

You mentioned in a later post that you are a straight woman and, in this post, you mention that your husband wants to "be a woman with a loving man by her side".

So does that mean she doesn't want to be married to a woman?  I mean, if she wants a man and you want a man... that might put a dent in things.  My wife is very supportive and she digs the ladies as much as I do so we're good there.  However, if I preferred men, I'm not sure where that would go.

Just remember this: Your marriage is defined by you guys and you guys alone.  Some couples have to convert into an open relationship type of marriage.  I can't imagine that not being at least a little fun to see if it improves or salvages things.

He says he is over transitioning, but he has changed his mind so many times so I'm trying to figure out how to make him happy and me at the same time. If he had transitioned I know he wanted to be with a man but he picked me and didn't tell me about the woman inside him till after we were married. We are working though all this one day at a time. We love each other and  discussing this daily and are going to stay married. I just need to ask question to people that live this life. Love is so hard to find no matter what we are. I understand so much more about him now. Thanks for all your replies.

wow, that is an incredible story, did you know you were trans the whole time?

She mostly knew. About as much as me I guess. By that point I had "experimented" with transition, twice, and reconciled to "I'm just a cross-dresser". She knew it all. Just neither of us knew how much it would bubble back up when the excrement hit the air handler, big time, once again for me. I had a good 30+ year run. I came out alive  :o
