It's summertime! Well at least for us in the northern hemisphere anyway.

What's your favorite thing to grill?

I like a good steak but also burgers and jerk chicken.

Bear in mind I grill year round, so Au/NZ feel free to chime in. :)

steaks and burgers here too. But for chicken, I have a Ronco Rotisserie. since I'm single, I grill on a Weber Baby Q

My specialty is two hour smoked chicken. I use grape vine since I have about a cord of it. There are wild concord grapes climbing the trees in the empty lot across the street, they're as big as my arm. When I need some I cut one a few feet up then pull it down out of the trees. That's for weekends though. I like to peel, core, and quarter a pineapple, then put it in a Ziploc bag with some honey, brown sugar, and the tiniest pinch of cinnamon. After it sits for awhile, I put it on the grill for a few minutes a side to get some browning. It goes great with pork chops! Now I'm hungry!

Trying my hand at souvlaki today. I made tzatziki sauce last night and bought some pitas. The last good Greek restaurant near here didn't come back well from a kitchen fire.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

They say the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train. I say, climb aboard!

Sadly, my apartment won't allow me to grill on my patio due to fire codes.  There are communal gas grills, but I much prefer the taste of grilling over charcoal.  When I do grill, it's mostly burgers, teriyaki chicken, or brats.  I do love to have steak from time to time though.

I feel your pain. In my last apartment I had that issue.

Eggplant slices :)

Hey that works. I sometimes roast a whole eggplant and mash it up, yum!

Slices can be prepared on a baking sheet with a liitle oil as well, in the oven... as snack or as main ingredient :)
A little bit of salt and thyme, for example, makes it taste really yummy :)

I can grill year round here on the west coast. We are a divided household, with myself being a vegetarian and my SO liking meat. So, I have divided the grill with one side never being touched by meat. I do the grilling even though the smell of meat makes me ill. Most of our items are spiced. we like a kick in our spice! Lots of chicken dishes, but some seafood, beef and pork. We are moving and have to leave our gas grill behind as our new condo does not allow gas grills. We will be getting a small  electric grill (Weber). I have no idea how that will work out.

You could have a look here:

(its just a guide, you don't have to buy there)
Well considering smoke I think its not really healthy...
with an electric grill you have the opportunity to create some excellent food, especially when it comes to vegetables.
With the right marinades and sauces really yummy...

Thanks Laura! I will check it out. I know that it will change the grilling process but at least we get to still grill! Love grilled veggies. Great for sauces or just to eat as a side dish.

Side dish sounds good  :)
Overall the process should be easier... maybe you can even use it more often.
And you can use it while remaining seated at the table...

I'd love to grill, but I'm an apartment person. I'd have to go to a nearby park.

It's technically not on my grill, but I borrowed my uncles and grilled fresh jalapenos and then stuffed them with cream cheese and bacon bits (which made from scratch in a cast iron skillet on the grill) and for a main coarse, chicken quarters coated in a garlic barbeque sauce.
As always, thank you for your time. Z was here.

My all-time favorites:

Swordfish steaks marinated for 20 minutes in soy sauce and lemon juice, with whole cumin seeds.

Butterflied leg of lamb, marinated overnight in mustard, soy sauce, lemon juice, and fresh rosemary.

And grilled romaine lettuce (the whole head, brushed with dressing) is surprisingly good.

I like grilling steak. Lamb chops and veal bratwurst. Need to go to home depot for a cylinder exchange.
