So, I fit in my gfs size two 2.5 inseam denim shorties. I was looking at the size chart on the website and those numbers dont look right. I just tape measured myself, I'm a 35" waist and have a 32" under the belly button....

Yet her size 2 shorties fit me excellently. What am I missing??? The size chart numbers are not consistent with that.

I want to order some skirts, shorts and shirts and would like to benefit from the free shipping. :(

Well, I'm not sure exactly where to measure... To be exact...

I'm at work, so using a tap measure it seems like 36" to 37" at what I think the hips are. About 3 inches lower than my waist. That's with thin pants in the way.

Your small hip size is probably what let you fit into her size 2's

So, I guess the question I have is I should fit into other skirts and shorts of the same size then? Don't worry, I won't hold you to my spent money lol.

I was thinking I might go up to a 4 but I tried them on this morning and I have room around the waist. And are by no means too snug.

You cam always return them for a larger size.
If you get something with a higher waist, you may need to go up a size.

I am a little surprised by this, but on the other hand, American Eagle shorties have some stretch in the fabric.  I usually wear a size 10 in American Eagle pants and shorts (I have two pair of shorties, one khaki and one stretch denim.)  I am 33" in the waist give or take, and around 37" in the hips.

I wear size 11 from Hollister, and in the (no longer made) Victoria's Secret shorts size 10 is a little loose on me.

I like my shorts with a little room underneath so I can wear them over a bikini bottom in order to use them for a cover up at the beach or pool.  So you might want to factor in enough room for whatever you plan to wear underneath.

That's strange indeed. I guess that would make sense. I might size up a bit. I ordered the 4s and they were very comfortable. I guess the stretchy helps.

I could probably go down to size 8 if I wanted the shorts to be skintight, but any further down and I would definitely be in "lie down and exhale to get the zipper up" territory.

Lol!! Yeah. I'm kinda trying everything on again. It all seems to fit but I like the skin tight feeling. I didn't go up solely because I have extra room around the waist.. need to get myself a 6 and 8 and try them.
