Spotting 2.5 weeks on T

Hello!

I started T 17 days ago. I had my last shot this past Saturday, so it's been roughly 3 days. I've had some light spotting since yesterday. It started as a sort of brown spotting color and today is more of a regular red color. I haven't had to use any kind of protection for my clothes or anything, but I am concerned. I do have some tenderness in my pelvic area, but no fever or feeling cruddy. Just the spotting really. I'm a bit worried. Is this a cause for concern? From what I've read online, it could be anything from a too high dosage leading to the T to convert to estrogen, regular ol' hormonal imbalance (I'm hoping), or the beginning of uterine hyperplasia. Has anyone else experienced this? Obviously, I plan to call my doctor if it doesn't let up, but I'm certainly worried about the possibility of both having a too high dose and hyperplasia.

Also, just a note: I'm not due for a full blown cycle for another two weeks.

i would not worry too much at first, anything that messes with your hormonal balance can trigger things like that out of normal cycle. I knew a girl in high school who every time they changed her birth control medication she would spend more than a week, bleeding enough that doctors put her on iron and other supplements. she missed school for the whole week both times they did it and she described it as going to bed with a ultra absorbent pad, old sweat pants, a folded towel under her and still needing to wash the sheets in the morning. All that over birth control.

Once your T levels are high for a while it should stop all together but right now your body may have no clue what to do.

No. It's completely normal to have spotting and for your period to change (be shorter, be longer, be a week early, be a week late, etc.) until your T levels get high enough for it to go away. My doctor said her expectation with dosing is that the majority of guys will have their periods go away by 3 months, and that if it hasn't gone away by that point, a higher dose or other intervention is needed.

Awesome! Thanks for the info, friends. It's still going on today and I honestly think it's because I live with two other folks who also have periods. One of my roommates just finished zir cycle and my partner is just starting hers, so my body is not only trying to catch up with them but also it's just being whacky because of my T levels.
