I'm one of the (lucky?) ones who is suffering from ataxia as a side effect of the medication and have spoken to my prescribing GP who isn't overly concerned with this and assures me this is temporary and will probably subside when I get used to the higher dosage he put me on two weeks ago.  However, it's getting to be quite debilitating, particularly at work, and I was wondering if any of you might have some advice on how to lessen this without reducing my dosage.

I will be on HRT from July 13 and I know its not long to wait, but it's still pretty freaky when it is really bad - like having your drink spiked or something!

My first month I was nauseous the whole time. It started to get better after 2 weeks, but then the dosage went up and I got nauseous again. The last 2 weeks weren't nearly as bad, but it still wasn't fun. Unfortunately to make things worse I started zocor not long after that and ended up with severe abdominal pain 3 times over the course of the month afterword. Well I apparently got used to everything because the only side effect I have now is the need to pee all the time, which is the original intended purpose of spiro anyway.

I do not know about ataxia.

I drink 100 ounces of water a day and eat a lot of salt. I do not drink caffeinated drinks.
