There are so many inspiring photos here. You ladies all look great. I enjoy seeing all the styles that everyone chooses. The confidence that all of you exude in these posts is so infectious. It certainly gives me hope that I can one day pull of the types of swimsuits that I've always dreamed of wearing.  The best part of the photos that you girls post is the true sense of happiness that shows through your beautiful smiles.  Enjoy the rest of summer ladies.

Jess!...I'd say your exercise program and your diligence are paying off nicely!!!... Have a great weekend and don't be surprised if surfing really puts it's hooks in ya!!! it sure did it to me starting about 20 years ago...I had to put it aside for a while with all the surgeries and sinus stuff but things are looking good for me being back at it soon...I sure miss it and have surfing dreams a few times a week!!!

It was too overcast here, of course!, to see the eclipse this AM but the sun came out this afternoon so I made it down to the beach in this one I got recently... it is just a Target bikini but I like the navy and white stripe thing... kind of a Ralph Lauren vibe to it!

Onward we go sisters of summer!!!

Yeah.. I've been surfing for about 20 years... Pretty intensely obsessed with it during certain periods over the years...I'd be out there almost every day in waves from ankle high up to about 20 foot...I think I tended to focus on stuff that I could immerse myself in and keep the dysphoria at bay!!!... There are so many good life lessons in surfing though and I am lucky to live where I do with the opportunity to experience them... I lived in the Midwest for a couple years when my ex was going to veterinary school and got almost just as obsessed with freestyle snowboarding too!!!... It was as close as I could get without an ocean!!!


Onward we go!!!

That's very cool. Is surfing anything like skiing? I could see the similarity with snowboarding. Surfing looks fun though. With my luck I would end up as a snack for a shark or something even if I could try it. Lol

Lol 😀... I guess it would only be like skiing if the whole mountain was moving and changing under your feet... Maybe like skiing in an avalanche!!! 😀!!!!

Sharks are one of the lessons of surfing... They are out there, but if you let fear rule you... You'll never enjoy the day!!!... Actually my old neighbor was one of the last people bit by a great white around here but he was back out there with us as soon as his wounds were healed... When people ask about sharks, I always say that there are bears in the woods somewhere but I bet you wouldn't concern yourself too much if you wanted to go for a walk in the forest... Fear keeps us safe but we should never become it's slave!!!.... Class dismissed!!! !!!!

I only saw a larger shark once in the water but dolphins would often pop up righ next to me when I didn't expect it and give me an adrenaline rush!!!!

Exercise, exercise and exercise to decrease the waist size. I ran down slowly to a nearby beach yesterday afternoon, washing sweat with seawater, hopefully killing some germs in my skin.

Here very few women wear bikini in the beach. Nowadays rash guards are popular among young women here, and some men are lamenting it, as they no longer see beauties in bikini. My daughter also wears them.

But most women coming from Europe, Russia and North America do wear bikini here.

Spent the weekend at the pool working on my tan for this coming weekend.  I'm spending the entire weekend at Zuma beach learning about myself, my view of my future and learning how to surf.  Hopefully I will have a couple of pictures from there to post next week.  I think my weight loss program is working pretty good.

The air and water there seems very clean. BTW, last year, I stopped at Santa Monica to have dinner with my son before departing at LAX. It was November, and I did not see anybody swimming in the beach there. Similar scenery along the western coastline of the U.S..

Yep that is Point Dume it the background.  The water temperature is pretty cold here since the current runs from Alaska down to here.  Even in the summer you see the surfers wearing body suits because of the temperatures.  I really like Zuma which is only about a half hour from my house.

Hey Girls!

I just found this thread tonight after taking some pics this evening at a secluded beach south of Myrtle Beach. I've enjoyed everyone's posted pics and all the talk of surfing (I'm learning). Don't laugh, but these are my first posted picture(s) as I just joined tonight. I wore my rash guard thinking that I was going to get in the water, but it was too dark. Wish me luck tomorrow!
