I have a weird question. Since starting T does anyone else feel like they have to pee when they don't have to?

I never had this issue before starting T, but some days now I constantly feel like I have to pee but I don't? I'm pretty sure it's not a UTI either since I've gotten one before and that was much worse(lots more pain haha). So I was just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

Well I thought it was a nice gesture....BUT I GUESS I WAS WRONG!!!!!

I felt the same almost the day after I started T.  Especially at night when I went to bed, I kept getting out of bed to pee, almost every 15 mins or so.  Took me a long time to fall asleep, very annoying.  If I remember correctly, that feeling went away around my 2 months mark.  I'm not sure if it's cause by T, but I do notice the growth downstairs very quickly.  Perhaps it's the sensation caused by the growth?  I'm going to see my endo tomorrow and I'll see what she thinks about this.

I've been thirstier and have peed a lot more often as a result of drinking more, but it's always been actual pee and not just a feeling. It could be a mild UTI. I'd try yogurt and cranberry juice to see if that helps mellow you out before giving the doctor a call. Unless it's causing you significant discomfort or having a big impact on your day.

I once had to pee constantly and finally a visit to a urologist, he discovered I had an inflamed bladder; not an infected bladder. The former can lead to the latter if it remains unaddressed. He gave me some medication but he also told me to cut out antihistamines, caffeine, and alcohol. In less than two weeks, I was able to go long periods of time without a pee break very comfortably. It felt like I had a super-bladder by comparison.

So I would cut out those three things for a while as a minimum and then see a doctor if it continues. It doesn't sound like an emergency but it doesn't sound normal either.

So, I told my endo about the peeing thing and she came up with 2 theories:
1) Because of the growth, it gives you an unsettling feeling below the belt, leads to feeling to pee.
2) Female bodies tend to retain more water than male bodies, when you start testosterone, it makes you pee the excess water that your body was retaining.

I've always been one to get the feelings of needing to pee and mild arousal mixed up. I don't know if my body is weird, but they feel a lot similar to me.

I get this a lot more often now that I'm on T and I just assume that it's because I get aroused more often now. haha x)
