First of I am not asking about hormone types or dosages cause thats against the rules :) I am wondering if anybody else been put on homones. OK it's like this when the doctors finally figured out why I was growing boobs, most said oh it's gynomastia and it's idopathic, well to the lay person that might have satisfied them but mom being a nurse and dads a paramedic they called it bs and we looked harder, but anyway when they finally figured me out that was it no recommendations no support no nothing, I finally desided that being a woman better fit me I did some reading and research and found out about homones, so I told him of my desire, I ask my doc about it he told me I didn't need anything and my body was on it's natural course, OK natural is good but I was wondering if thats the norm anybody else on homones? One thing I should mention I never do anything halfway, but it seams my body is half and half leaning towards the female half :)

That's where I was in my teens!  :o My testosterone level was about half of normal male and estrogen about half of normal female. After corrective surgery and removal of what the heck it was that was down there, both levels dropped WAY down and I was on estrogen except for 10 years and that 10 years resulted in measurable bone density loss - NOT a good thing!

You should see an endocrinologist, someone who specializes in 'body chemistry' to find out what your levels of T and E are. Having neither is bad.

If you want to "move to the female side", you need normal estrogen levels and if your testosterone levels are higher than normal female levels, you want to do something about it, "blockers" at minimum, unless you want to become the breaded lady!  ;)

Good. Keep us posted. Hormone levels can be an indication of what's happening.

Wow, that rings pretty close to what I am going through. I'm in my 50's and just confirmed that I have higher than normal T levels for a male my age and the low E level of a woman on her period which is way high for a male. I've always felt different and felt like two sexes. But my body has always been physically complete male. No physical difference. However, my mind has always been more female and really conflicted and confused.

Are these type of hormone levels seen regularly in Intersexed people? Does anyone know of similar levels like mine and how they were treated? Is there any info or literature on this condition?

I'm seeing my Psych who figured this out on Thursday and plan to ask for an endocrinologist referral.

OK had a very weird experience, the endo at the hospital has known my mother for a very long time, she told my mother when I was born that I looked like a girl and now she was right  ??? ???

Anyway, my

"E" was 5.56 she wanted to raise it to around 9.00
"P" was 350 she wants to raise it to around 750
"T" was 54.7 she wants to lower it to around 40.0

she said that HRT for me was a viable solution considering the direction I am going.
