Dryness

The agreed upon seems to be that being on 6+ months T is gonna make your bottom dry up and essentially become non-operative over time (at least for sexual purposes). How common is this in actuality? I've been on T for over a year and I've yet to have a problem with this. In fact, I had problems prior to starting with T, and my problems completely disappeared when I began taking T.

I never heard that about 6 months and dry up. My doc said there would be atrophy with time and that is what happened.

Yeah, the dryness would accompany atrophy. I know of some guys who have to begin to take estrogen creams down there to alleviate the problems. How do you know if you've atrophied or not? lol, this may sound pretty dumb but I am honestly not sure. My medical situation is a little different from other guys who started because I started not having any ovaries so I've always had a fairly low dose but high enough to masculinize and if I go above this I get problems like nipple sensitivity that suggests too high because too much is being aromatized, probably.

I am not seeing an official endo yet (will in 90 days maxiumum, finally though!), but I've had my levels measured twice and they are in an average but low average range so idk.

Since I started on a full dose ~4 months ago, I've definitely noticed more and more dryness.

I actually haven't had much dryness to speak of, and I'm 6 months on T as of today. It doesn't mean it won't happen, and it may have happened in very small ways, but it's not very noticeable if it has happened already. Just something that varies, person to person, I s'pose.

9 months on T and post hysto and zero dryness.....it varies

No dryness here, except in like the first month of T. There was a period of a few weeks where things were so horribly uncomfortably dry, and then it eased off. I had to occasionally apply lube just so walking wasn't uncomfortable. :/

But my bits have been good since, and no problems lubricating. Having a decent sex drive helps. I've found the difference between pre-T and after T is that I'm generally drier on default just during the day etc (but definitely not uncomfortably so), but produce more wetness when aroused/during sex. Which is great on both points I always hated the everyday not-even-aroused wetness pre-T.

I wonder if it depends on whether you use it often? Maybe guys who don't use their bits will tend to have more issues with atrophy and dryness... idk.

What exactly is atrophy? Like super tightening? I can't really imagine it..
