Hey there, I didn't have to come out at work, but I did come out to my extended family about a week ago. I come from a very religious catholic family, and I was scared that they weren't going to accept me. I just went for it and came out on Facebook, since I'm friends with a bunch of them on there. I briefly explained that I'm transgender and that I'll be going by male pronouns and by Grayson. Everyone took it so well, I got a ton of positive responses and they messaged me saying great stuff.
It all depends on your family, but I would think that if they loved you as family should, you should be able to come out to them just fine. I wish you luck.
