I broke down and bought myself a Tria 4X for my birthday. (OK, my birthday isn't until later in the month, but I don't like to wait...) It arrived today, so I get to start my hair removal adventure today. I had been doing laser on my body, but the laser place went out of business (keeping $100s of my money. Grrr), so I'm doing this on my own.

First step is activating the thing.

If you're first activating the Tria, all you need to do is to hold the power button until it beeps 7 times.

It is unnecessary to give them your email address (like yours truly did) and open yourself up to a lifetime of spam.

My next step is to do a "test patch" trying the thing out on five patches of skin, one for each power setting. I'm not to use it for 24 hours after that, to see whether gangrene sets in on any of the test areas. I'll let you know how it goes...

OK, test patch complete. Basically I felt next to nothing on the first three settings. The fourth and fifth setting felt a little warm, but nothing more.

However, now my arm stings a little where I zapped it, so it had some sort of effect.

Now I wait 24 hours, with cellphone at the ready to call in the paramedics if I need to.

Haha!! You made me giggle cuz that's what I did too when I got mine! I'd had such a trauma from electrolysis I was afraid laser would blast me into a red, crusty monster forever.
You're going to *love* your Tria!!! You got the fanciest newest one...mine's the one before. You get more power according to the Tria peeps.
If you have dark hair, on setting 5 if you've killed the root, you'll def know it. I started with 3 and did everywhere, and continued on 3 for a while til it seemed the hair was slowing down/disappearing...then I cranked it up to 5 and zapped the stubborn hairs...and then back down to 1 or 2 to cover entire areas quickly and repeatedly. I'm stoked to have a hair-free cooch and pitties, but it takes forever to do legs:( I wasn't consistent though....I wanted to do it every night but I didn't, then I got irritated and put it away, and got it back out a few months later.
It does work though and I know you're gonna love it!!
Oh, save the box too!!!! They're funky about replacing them, and they do go bad--but without your box it came in, they won't replace it. Just good to know :)
