Hi All  :), gosh it just seems like forever since I've been here, and I know that it has not been that long.  I've missed you all, to have people that care only a few keystrokes away anytime you need them was such an invaluable thing during my first year.  Most times it seems as though it was a blink of an eye, but I know all too well if I allow myself time to really reflect, this year was literally jam packed with events, victories, world crashing moments, expectations, and you all providing me with any help needed.

June 25th was my 'B' Day and my situation is very very good, I've been full time for quite some time now, and there is not a single person that has not been told.  I am really happy with my facial changes, gaining where needed  ;D, and losing where not needed.  So far Im content to not attempt any work on the voice as I just do not care a bit what anyone thinks, besides I've been very busy in my garden (hot/watering/hot/watering, repeat, repeat).  My mood is fabulous, my emotional state is better than I could ever have imagined it could be, I'm happy, I smile, I laugh, and I now 'live'.  I've reached a nice place with my hrt, have added prometrium to the mix and all is good.

I suppose the only down side to my new life is that for some reason stores want $ for all the clothes and shoes I buy.  I reached an unusual point in my makeup that for some reason I did not forsee, I hardly use any, at least compared to before, the reflection in the mirror in the morning gives me pause to bring that smile to the surface that is 'always' at the ready nowdays.

My dream is coming true and all of you were with me every step of the way.  I will ALWAYS be GRATEFUL.  I LOVE you ALL FOREVER.

Happy "Birthday", Dani!  Glad you are doing well!!

I know what you mean about those stores.  I could get along with them better if they decided that they could get by on *half* the money they usually make me give them (and I already tend to buy on clearance!)  :)
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Congrats Dani. You have come along ways since you first came on the forums. I'm glad your HRT and everything is working out smoothly. I know it's amazing how the cost of things adds up so quickly, but it's worth it. Good luck and Hugs

I'm not really sure how to grow a food garden yet, and my time is really used up by my 'regular' tree garden (almost entirely exotic and rare trees from around the world, about 1500 all together).  I do have a few things scattered through my tree garden, mature Hazel Nut trees, Apple trees (many), Blueberries, Italian Plum's, and raspberries.  I do plan in the next couple years to build some nice raised beds, renovate an 20X16 foot building out back, and turn it into a canning and storage site for all my canned goods.  I have an old wood stove I can use for this.  :)

And to all of you, your all sweeter than ANYTHING I could ever grow.  :-*

growing you own food is priceless. I had a peach and apple tree that when the time came I had the best homemade pies in the universe. Fresh tomatoes for spaghetti is also priceless. Use fish oil fertilizer , its the best.

Greetings,
I too will soon be celebrating my 1 year "birthday". On July 10 of 2014, I met with a gender therapist for the first time and began to realize that all of this was far more than just a fetish or coping strategy of mine.
In the past year, I have been living full time for about 9 months, I have been on hormones since November, and I have undergone 3 laser hair removal treatments.
It is pretty amazing to look back on the past year and all of the struggles that I have been through. I look forward to this next year and seeing what challenges I will be able to overcome as well as being able to see the results of the changes I have made thus far.

If we consistently fail to celebrate our successes, others will certainly celebrate our failure.

Hi Katrinaw, you've always been so sweet (as with all).  When I get my camera fixed, I will put a new pic up, I have an Canon DSLR and have not been able to use it since last December.  It will happen  ;)   Dani
