"I was ashamed and flabbergasted."

Mixed feelings in Boyne City over this float at the end of their Fourth of July parade.

The float depicts transgender woman, Caitlyn Jenner in a spoof of the sitcom "Two and A Half Men" in front of a Wheaties box.

So, I happened to see this when surfing the web...a 4th of July parade in a small town with a "parody" float referencing Caitlyn Jenner and the iconic Wheaties box.  It is obviously a bunch of people trying to be funny, but it is appropriate as satire or did it go too far?

I'll do what I can to show her the way,
And maybe one day I will free her,
Though I know no one can see her...

Hi Wendy,

Quite frankly the guy who built this float is a bigot.  He protest that it's only a joke, but he and all his friends know he's mocking transgender people.  He has no clue to why this is a problem and acts like he's the victim because some have criticized the float.   It's unfortunate that a certain segment of society build their self esteem by putting others down.

Thanks for posting,
Paige :)

He's getting more publicity than he deserves. Nothing to see here, folks.

Why is this worth it for us to discuss, exchange ideas, really.

I believe that this dude is just trying to start issues. It is obvious that he is trying to shame the trans community. While many transgender men and women believe that Caitlyn doesn't represent our community, this is still wrong on many levels. This man should not be surprised by all the reviews against him.
